Shpresa Perteshani Ibrahimi

Shpresa Ibrahimi has been a teacher at ASK for two years now. She teaches High School Italian. She has a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Psychology and she has always been passionate about Psychology and Italian. Throughout her 22 years of work, she has always intertwined successfully these two fields. She has also attended many training and has been certified in different programs.
Her favorite quote is, “L’Italiano ù amore a prima vista”!

Shkendije Thaqi Kadrija

Shkendije Thaqi Kadrija joined ASK as a Grade 2 Teacher back in 2018. Prior to ASK, she worked as an English Teacher at a Language School in Prishtine. Mrs. Thaqi Kadrija has worked with different age groups and different language levels (A1-C1). She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Prishtina, Faculty of Philology, and an MA degree in English Language Teaching and Methodology from the South East European University, Faculty of Languages, Cultures and Communication, Macedonia. Her favorite learning quote is, “Learning never exhausts the mind”- Leonardo Da Vinci.

Ionela Hysenaj

Ionela Hysenaj has been teaching at ASK for 12 years. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and a Master’s degree in Population Studies. Ionela teaches Geography, Global Perspectives, AP World History, and AP Comparative Government and Politics in high school. She is a passionate reader and has published an article about writing recommendation letters for students in Kosovo Education publication. She has been in multiple trainings over the years and has certificates from Kosovo Education Center, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, ASK PD Trainings, Kosovo Learning Summit, and French Ministry of Education.

Fjolla Gashi

Fjolla Gashi has been with ASK for two years as a Teaching Assistant. She has studied English Language and Literature at the University of Prishtina. Fjolla is currently finishing her Master’s studies in Linguistics at the Faculty of Philology. She is an avid reader and aspires to be a writer someday. Fjolla has also trained to be a Pediatric Nurse Assistant. Before coming to ASK she has worked as an English Teacher at schools of languages. Her favorite learning quote is, “Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel.” – Socrates.

Drita Syla

Drita Syla has been a teacher at ASK for 2 years. She joined the ASK community as a High School Social Studies teacher. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Sciences and a Master’s degree in European Integration and Public Administration. Ms. Drita became interested in teaching during her previous work where she had the chance to work with students and assist them to win scholarships and study in U.S. universities. Ms. Drita has been involved in several projects and training. She has successfully completed the training “Preparation for Standardized Tests TOEFL & SAT ENGLISH”. In addition, she has been appointed and accredited by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology as one of the trainers for the program “Advising to Study in the USA with scholarships”. She was certified as a “Company Trainer” and “Instructor in the Workplace” by GIZ German cooperation. Her favorite learning quote is, “Can there be education without passion?”.

Bjonda Alija Bajqinovci

Bjonda Alija Bajqinovci has been a teacher at ASK for 5 years. She teaches Computer Science for Middle school as well as for High School. She also teaches AP Computer Science Principles.
She has a Bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering and she is almost at the end of her Master’s studies.
She has also attended lots of different teaching training during the past 5 years and has been certified as an “SAT Math Teacher” by the American Advising Center. Lastly, she got a CCNA certification. Her favorite quote is, “Computers are going to be a big part of our future…and the future is yours to shape.”

Ahmet Ajdini

Ahmet Ajdini was born in Prizren, Kosovo. He lived in the US from 1999-2006 and once he returned to Prishtina, he attended the University of Prishtina and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Sciences at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports. He has also successfully completed a Master’s degree in Physical Education and Sports. Ahmet also completed a training in Critical Thinking and Writing organized by MASHT. He loves playing sports especially soccer.
Ahmet has been an educator for 6 years at ASK, and he is currently a High School Teacher of Physical Education and Health.

Aida ZĂ«ra

Aida ZĂ«ra has been our high-school science teacher for the past 3 years. She graduated from the University of Tirana in 2012, with a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry and a Master’s in Teaching. After graduation, she worked in some of the most prestigious schools in Albania, until she moved to Prishtina and joined our team. She is very dedicated and passionate about her work, always challenging herself and her students with innovative methods of the highest standards. She likes traveling, hiking, and reading. She also heads the photography club, with some very impressive results so far. Aida has also attended several professional training, such as “Kosovo Learning Summit”, “SAT Math” from the “American Advising Center”, “Green Package” from the Regional Environment Center in Albania, etc. I don’t tell people “You’re ok the way that you are.” That’s not the right story. The right story is, “You’re way less than you could be.” This is one of the philosophical pillars that support Aida’s strive for knowledge and improvement in life.

Albina Ramadani

Albina Ramadani has been a teacher at ASK for 6 years. She teaches Middle School English Language Arts. She has a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature, and a Master’s degree in Linguistics. She enjoys reading and playing volleyball. She is committed to her professional development and has attended multiple training in the past 6 years including “Enhancing Critical Thinking in the English Classroom” and “Maximizing Learning Through Project-Based Learning”. Her favorite learning quote is, “Learning never exhausts the mind.”

Almenda Gashi Terziu

Almenda Gashi Terziu, has been working as the Physics/AP Physics 1 and Math 11/Advanced Junior Math 10-11 teacher at ASK for 4 years. Ms. Gashi Terziu holds 3 Bachelor’s degrees in Physics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Professor of Physics 4 year program and a Master’s degree in General Physics. She has been a speaker on the 3rd International Conference of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, International Congress on Natural Health Sciences and Technology, NM. She holds many certifications such as SAT Math trainee Certificate, Certificate in the 1st Content and Language Integrated Learning Conference, Al, Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of outstanding contribution to the MACPRO as a member of the evaluation committee etc. Her favorite learning quote is, “Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think”.
